"Tina's a cross between Waynetta Slobb and a fat Sporty Spice!" Victoria laughs. "I really like her. She'd believe anything you told her. She's very naïve, and uneducated. As soon as she is told something, she really absorbs it, almost like a child. She's got a childlike quality about her. She's easily upset, but again, like a child, it doesn't last for long, then she's on to the next thing. She's quite resilient - she has to be. "Tina is sister to Maxi, and not the sharpest tool in the box, bless her. Underneath it all she's really quite quiet but she just gets swept along by the other two Peckham Boot Gang girls. She's very easily led. If Maxi says jump she says 'how high?' She idolises Maxi - pleasing her is everything but she's not her slave."
Not a glamour role? Victoria smiles: "It's funny because most people have to have their spots covered up, but I have mine put on. It's quite good - I look at myself at the end of the day and think 'Oh my God' but then remember I can just wipe off my spots when I go home!
"I was a huge fan of Bad Girls and getting the part was such a dream come true. I knew they were casting so I wrote in. The reply was 'Come and see us.' I actually missed my first audition! I was coming back from holiday and some of my friends accidentally wiped the message off the answerphone! I had to call the production office and say that there'd been a massive mix-up, and I thought that was it - I'd missed my chance. But the casting director called me the next day and said could I still come and see her. So I was really lucky. I really did think I'd had it when I didn't attend the first audition. I was sure they just thought I just hadn't bothered to show up!
"I knew who everyone was, all the characters, before I got here. It was very, very strange. You don't want to do that thing of 'Oh, look, it's so-and-so'. But I was still pinching myself, it's all happened so fast."
Already the Peckham Boot Gang have got a nickname: "Maggie, our continuity lady, thought that everyone was calling us the Peckham Book Club! So eventually she piped up and asked 'Why are they called the Peckham Book Club?' So all the jokes started. 'What are you in for - tearing the last page out of books and leaving readers in suspense? Not paying your library fines?' It's just stuck now and we're known as the Peckham Book Club!"
