The Julies are questioned by the police in separate interview rooms about several thefts that occurred when they were working in a massage parlour several years ago. When they are informed that a friend of theirs has turned Queens Evidence, both Julies interpret this to mean that the other Julie has decided to grass. Of course, this is exactly what the police want them to believe and before long, both are singing to the rooftops.
Shaz is missing Denny like crazy and learning that deep depression isn’t mixing very well with Al’s constant bullying. Even Yvonne has refused to intervene on Shaz’s behalf, urging her to learn to stand on her own two feet instead or risk spending the rest of her life as an easy target. After the PBG bully her into giving up her precious yard girl duties, Shaz goes to see Helen and asks to be moved onto the lifers’ unit, figuring that a single cell on G3 will keep her out of Al’s way for at least some of the time.
Upon their return to Larkhall, the Julies are surprised when they bump into their old employer, wealthy brothel madame, Virginia O’Kane. They are quick to realise that Virginia was the one to drop them in it and are soon back to being the best of friends. But even so, they can’t help but feel sorry for Virginia when they realise that she’s wheelchair-bound. G-Wing is ill-equipped to cope with a disabled prisoner and both inmates and officers struggle to take care of her needs.
A transformed Di returns to Larkhall after a period of compassionate leave. With her mother now in full-time care, she has time for a bit of extra-curricular activity and sets about plying Mark with drink at the PO’s club. Mark is sulking because Gina has abandoned him in favour of an aerobics lesson and, after several pints, is easily persuaded to drop his pants and have sex with Di in the toilets. The following morning, Mark is both hungover and embarrassed.
Di gives Mark the impression that Gina is getting on rather too well with Josh, a rumour that seems to have some basis in fact from the way that they’re always giggling together. When Mark throws a jealous tantrum and dumps Gina, Di is ecstatic. However, she is sorely disappointed when Mark rejects her. Mark soon discovers that hell hath no fury like an obsessive scorned when Di makes sure that Gina finds out about their drunken night in the PO’s club toilets. Gina is heartbroken and demands to know how Mark could do something like that to her, especially as she’s just found out that she’s having his baby.
Fenner waits until Virginia is in the exercise yard before searching the cell she’s sharing with Barbara. He steals the book containing Virginia’s client list, knowing that she will be unable to run her business without it. Fenner offers her a deal: he will look after her business for her in return for half of the profits.
