Fenner is back on the wing after recovering from his mental breakdown, but it doesn’t take him long to get his confidence back. He goes to confront Neil and reminds him about a few false promises he once made about the Wing Governor’s job. Neil is confused, especially when Fenner produces a notebook and pen and writes down everything that is said. Fenner then proclaims his innocence to the Julies, reminding them that Colin had the biggest motive for wanting Yvonne dead – she did dump him after all. Julie J confronts Colin with Fenner’s accusations and is shocked when Colin informs that he is leaving Larkhall for good.

Tanya is determined to put pressure on Darlene to meet with Rick before they both get into serious trouble. Rick has managed to smuggle in an audio recording of Darlene’s brother Terence being tortured. It’s enough for Tanya to persuade Darlene to reveal the whereabouts of the bag she stole from Rick – she will send someone to pick it up before Rick can get there. Darlene has little choice but to agree to Tanya’s plan. Later, she gives Rick the information he wants.

Tina is guilt-ridden, convinced that she killed Al by giving her the rhubarb hooch. After hearing this, Natalie catches Phyl and Bev in the act of flushing the evidence down the loo. They have no choice but to reveal that they spiked the PO’s milk with poisonous extract of rhubarb leaves. The last thing they expected was for Julie S to make the inmate’s pancakes with it. Natalie orders Bev to pour the remaining poison into Frances’ coffee. Meanwhile, Phyl plants evidence in Tanya’s hamper.

Someone slips a note under the PO’s Office door, instructing them to look inside Tanya’s hamper for the cause of the mystery virus. Frances sips her coffee as she watches the hamper being searched, unaware that Bev has spiked it with a lethal dose. Later, Frances is lying on her sickbed when Neil phones to tell her that Al was poisoned with oxalic acid, the most common source of which is rhubarb leaves. When Neil goes on to say that the DST have found evidence of tampering in Tanya’s hamper, Frances becomes suspicious – she fell ill after the hamper was confiscated.

To deflect suspicion, Natalie ingests enough poison to make her ill and she is carted off to the hospital wing. Meanwhile, Phyl begins to drop heavy hints about Tanya and the fact that nobody fell ill until she turned up. The women confront Tanya with their suspicions, but are distracted when Frances walks onto the wing. Contrary to Natalie’s plans, she’s still very much alive and the mere sight of her is enough to sent Bev into a dead faint. Frances has a police detective in tow, and he arrests Tanya for murder.
