Now he’s in the clear, Fenner takes great pleasure in informing Di that he wants a divorce and her and Dylan out of his house ASAP. Once at work, Di tries to confront Fenner in his office and ends up being punched across the room. Terrified, she is then forced to listen as Fenner tells her exactly what he did to Yvonne and how she’ll be in line for the same treatment if she doesn’t watch out. Di throws her wedding ring down the toilet and then goes to see the Julies in order to reveal the true identity of Yvonne’s killer.

Phyl and Bev’s stint on the block has come to an end and they’re eager to resume their scam with Frank. But Frank has decided that he wants more than just a kiss and cuddle and attempts to rape Phyl in the back of his van. Luckily Bev is quick to the rescue and her daring action proves fruitful when they suddenly realise that they are staring freedom in the face. After tying Tina up in the back of the van and propping Frank up in the driver’s seat, they’re soon heading out through the gates of Larkhall and out onto the open road.

Having handed over the evidence to Fenner, Natalie is preparing to leave for her outside visit. However, just as she and Spiers are about to drive through the front gates, Phyl, Bev, and Tina are reported missing. Natalie is absolutely livid when her visit is cancelled… she’s going nowhere! Later, Natalie tries it on when Fenner unlocks her cell but he wastes no time in telling her that she’s lost all chance of another temporary license. Pinning her to the bed, he informs her that there’s only one top-dog on G-Wing, him.

Pat can’t believe that Sheena would be stupid enough to overdose on methadone on the day of her release. She confronts Di who confesses that she is soon to become homeless. Luckily, Pat has a friend who would be willing to foster Dylan until Sheena is released. Although Sheena is relieved that Dylan will be well looked after, she’s heartbroken when she has to hand him over. Back on G-Wing, Arun picks up on the spark of chemistry and is unable to conceal her jealousy. Although Pat denies that she has any sort of feelings for Sheena, it is clear that she’s in denial.

Phyl and Bev head straight for the airport and the first flight to the Costa del Sol. Soon its cocktails all round when they return to their rightful habitat. To put the icing on the cake, one of their contacts at a top hotel informs them that they can stay in a luxury suite that is kept exclusively for a rich Russian called Sergei – all they need to do is put on Russian accents and pretend to be his sisters. Phyl and Bev quickly get stuck into the champagne, blissfully unaware that they are actually staying in the same hotel as the newly wedded Dr and Mrs Nicholson!

Hollamby is not living in wedding bliss at all. She is desperate to consummate her marriage, but her greedy husband seems more concerned with spending her non-existent fortune. Next door, Phyl and Bev discover a safe containing a gun and a rather large quantity of diamonds. As they make plans to depart with their newfound loot, their ‘brother’ Sergei is being brutally tortured by a gang of Russian gangsters who want to know where he’s hidden the diamonds he has stolen from them.

When Dr Nicholson loses a fortune on the roulette wheel, she is forced to tell him the truth about her inheritance, or rather her lack of it. On the surface, he seems to take the news very well, but his disappointment is concealing pure anger and at the first opportunity, he slips a mickey into Hollamby’s drink. Next door, Phyl and Bev are on the run from the Russian mob. Fearing for their lives, they climb across the balcony to the honeymoon suite. From their vantage point, they see Hollamby gagged and tied to a chair and Dr Nicholson brandishing a syringe. In an ironic twist, it appears that Hollamby’s life is now in the hands of the Costa Cons.

Dr Nicholson is adamant that he’s not going to spend the rest of his life tied to a woman he despises and prepares to give Hollamby a fatal air embolism. Just as he’s about to do the deed, Phyl erupts into the room and shoots him dead. Then all hell breaks loose. Phyl and Bev try to get away, but in the ensuing panic, the diamonds spill out onto the floor of the hotel foyer. As the police pounce on Bev, she urges Phyl to make a run for it. Pausing to grab a couple of diamonds, Phyl makes her escape and is next seen sitting astride a powerful motorbike and driving off into the Spanish countryside.
