Tracey joined the cast of Bad Girls in series two, "It's unlike any other job I have ever done, particularly because it's mainly a bunch of women. Everyone makes you feel just very welcome. I was quite nervous coming into something like this but it sort of didn't matter because everyone was so lovely. Obviously, we all hate each other now - you can tell!

"I live nearby the set where we film, so apart from maybe filming the series in an absolutely glorious location like the Maldives, which is just not going to happen in Bad Girls, it's all perfect!"

A darker side to her character Di Barker began to appear at the end of the last series and is set to continue throughout series three: "She is a very sweet woman, who has a bubbly quality but who is also under a lot of pressure. I don't think she is particularly able to cope with work and her home life looking after her ailing mother. If it was just the job then it would probably have been OK, but with both, she just doesn't cope. It's a shock, but it is also very real what we see. I mean there are a lot of people who particularly nowadays, have to deal with this. It's a difficult story-line to deal with."

Another story-line for Di this series is her obsession with Josh. "It's a kind of low level erotomania which is a medical condition - it could well be another sign of the stress she is under in her home situation. The pressure she is under has burst out in this particular way. She is desperate for companionship, intimacy and love which was transferred first to Dom last series, and then when he moves away, to Josh. I've been reading up on it all. I think sadly for Di she is heading for a nervous breakdown.

"Either she will have to be given some leave or some therapy - or a small prison sentence! I don't know. But I think it's going to reach a crisis..."
