Two-faced, desperate to fit in, a bit thick but also very manipulative. She makes out she’s as hard as nails but is not. She is terrified to be in prison as this is her first time and she is desperate for attention and help to cope.

WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER IN LARKHALL FOR?
Janine is in Larkhall for five years for credit card fraud. She stole card numbers from the shop she worked in and then bought stuff with them off the internet.

WHO DOES YOUR CHARACTER GET ON BEST WITH? AND WORST?
She likes to think she gets on best with Natalie Buxton and Darlene Cake but this is more to survive rather than real friendship.

DO YOU THINK BEING BEHIND BARS WILL TEACH YOUR CHARACTER A LESSON?
No I think she will get worse as she is now mixing with real cons.

DO YOU THINK VIOLENCE IN WOMEN’S PRISON IS A MAJOR
PROBLEM IN REALITY?
I think any violence is a problem full stop.

DOES YOUR CHARACTER HAVE ANY STRONG OR CONTROVERSIAL STORYLINES THIS SERIES?
Yes – Janine has several run-ins with Natalie Buxton. Janine is also hell bent on getting revenge on Arun, as it is because of Arun that they are both in prison. Arun confessed to the scam which meant they both went down.

WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE BAD GIRLS SET WHEN YOU FIRST SAW IT?
Fantastic. It really does look and sound real.

DO YOU LIKE THE OUTFITS THAT YOUR CHARACTER WEARS?
I like them for Janine. She’s very loud in her outfits and wears far too much makeup but it’s not my taste.

WOULD YOU WEAR THEM IN REALITY?
No way!

Yes – a long holiday as we have had a long series to film.

WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF FILMING BAD GIRLS?
It is such a great group of girls to work with so having a giggle with them is definitely one of the best bits.

WHAT IS THE WORST?
The worst bit is definitely the long hours and getting stuck in Blackwall tunnel.

Going out with my pals.

DO YOU BELIEVE GOING TO A DRAMA SCHOOL MAKES A DIFFERENCE FOR GETTING IN TO ACTING?
No, I don’t think going to drama school necessarily makes a difference any more.

WHAT WOULD YOU IDEALLY LIKE TO ACT IN – TV/FILM/THEATRE?
I would love to be able to act in all three at some stage.
