What would you do if you found a £50 note lying on the pavement?  Keep it, or hand it in?

It would depend where I found it.  I would ask the nearest passers-by.  If it was a specific area, like a precinct or in a shop, I would hand it in.  Basically if I thought the person who dropped it would have a chance of getting it back, I’d hand it in.  It has happened to me in the past.  I handed in £20 that I found in a shop and when no-one claimed it a week later they gave it back to me, for being honest!

If you found your best friend’s / partner’s diary, would you read it?

It would depend if there was something specific I wanted to find out, or if there was something I was worried about.  I would feel very guilty though and I’d probably own up to having done it.

Imagine you have to sit an exam and a couple of days beforehand, you come across a copy of the exam paper.  Do you look at it?

No.  I would like to test myself and prove to myself that I was clever enough to pass on my own merit!  If I cheated, I’d have no pride or self-worth.

You’re having a dinner party and have spent hours cooking a fantastic meal.  But just as you’re taking the main course out of the oven, you drop it on the floor.  If you just pick it up and put it back in the dish, nobody will notice… do you serve it to your guests or do you come clean and order a takeaway?

Definitely pick it up!  I’m not slaving away for hours for nothing!  As long as there were no harmful substances prior to my dropping everything…

You’re out shopping with a friend and they ask you what you think of a particular outfit.  Your friend looks great in it but so would you – it’s exactly what you’ve been looking for.  Do you dissuade them from buying it so you can sneak back later and get it for yourself?

No, sadly I am too honest.   I would probably buy it myself anyway whether she’d bought it or not,  and just make sure that I didn’t wear it when I was with her.

When was the last time you got drunk?

Last weekend, in Brighton with friends. I got to bed at 6am!  I felt terrible on Sunday, but I had a fabulous Saturday night!

What were you like at school – teacher’s pet or constantly in detention?

I was most teachers’ and parents’ absolute nightmare.  I was one of those annoying bright pupils who get bored easily and I realised that I didn’t have to work hard in order to pass exams, so I always did just enough to get by, and caused as much trouble as possible.  I think I thrived on the attention and adrenalin rush – being naughty, wondering if I was going to get caught or not… Life is far too boring if you don’t take risks and anyway, I like to have stories to tell and to entertain others with my exploits.  I think I enlivened people’s schooldays.  There were a few teachers that did like me – I think almost because I was naughty.  They liked my spark, so I worked harder for them.
